Editorial Policy
This policy explains how articles on Zanilia are produced, checked and updated. It applies to every page.

1. Product selection criteria
A product only enters an article if it meets at least three of these four conditions:
- Its physical dimensions are published clearly by the seller;
- It fits the space a Malaysian rental actually has;
- It has at least 20 public buyer reviews;
- Its price has been stable for 30 days before checking.
Products without stated dimensions are never listed, however cheap. Without dimensions there is no way to know whether it is useful.
2. Update frequency
- Prices are re-checked every 30–45 days for articles in actively sold categories.
- If a price moves more than 20%, the article is updated within 7 days.
- If a product is discontinued, it is replaced or the article is marked.
- Check dates appear on every article and every product row.
3. Price verification
Recorded prices are the displayed price on the Shopee or Lazada product page on the stated date, before vouchers or delivery. They are not a promise. Platform prices change almost weekly and we do not control them.
We do not publish struck-through "original" prices, because we cannot verify that the higher price was ever actually charged.
4. Negative findings and corrections
When we find a serious weakness — plastic runners snapping within three months, adhesive failing on tile — it goes in the article rather than in a drawer. Unsafe products are never recommended under any circumstance.
If you find a factual or price error, send an email. Corrections that change the meaning of an article are noted at the bottom of that article.
5. Affiliate relationships
We earn commission from Shopee, Lazada, Involve Asia and ACCESSTRADE when readers buy through certain links. Commission does not influence product selection, and no seller can pay for a position in a list.
Every affiliate link uses rel="sponsored nofollow" and

6. What we do not publish
- Reviews of products that were never researched.
- Unverifiable health, safety or durability claims.
- Empty category pages or auto-generated product lists.
- Machine translation without human review.
7. Use of AI
We use assistive tools to draft and check text, but every number, dimension and price is verified manually against the product page before publication. No article is published without human review.
